Biography
Remains to be Seen is the dark musical duo of Annie Adams and Mason Monigold.
Their unique brand of dark pop has garnered the description “Nine Inch Nails meets Mazzy Star” with frequent comparisons to Joy Division, Chelsea Wolfe, The Cure, and Slowdive. The pair’s eclectic tastes are already stumping those trying to easily classify the band.
Their 2018 EP releases, Tunnels/Too Much and LVRS, secured them gigs with acts including WINGTIPS, Author & Punisher and The Body.
2019 saw two new EPs, Tinder and Where the Tree Meets the Shade and gigs with bands like HXXS, HIDE, and ACTORS plus several regional festival appearances.
A shoegazing new album is planned for a 2022 release. The first single, Space Case, has been met with positive reviews.

“Remains to be Seen is the post-industrial, darkwave project [that will] cut deep, crawl inside and curl up for the night, I recommend you let it.”
-Justn Smith (DeadBeat Klub)
“What begins as simply sparse, languorous vocals backed by a heartbeat drum is soon joined by distant, delicate guitars and a succulent bassline that carries the melody hand-in-hand with said vocals; fans of Joy Division take note. A heady mix of gothic, shoegaze, post punk, and even a tinge of industrial.”
-Ben Hudgins (Abstract) from a review of Space Case
