New EP Available from Remains to be Seen

Dark-Pop duo Remains to be Seen has released their second EP of 2019, Where the Tree Meets the Shade.

This three song release explores new sonic territory on Kancel Kult and Call Hope while giving a nod to the past with Now Now, a song originally written for the now dead Domestic Drone.

Currently available exclusively on Bandcamp, Where the Tree Meets the Shade will be available for streaming later in 2019.

Remains to be Seen included on La Danse Macabre Compilation

Remains to be Seen was selected to appear on the newly released La Danse Macabre 6 from At Sea Compilations. The song Tunnels from the Tunnels/Too Much EP appears alongside other recent darkwave and postpunk recordings.

From At See Compilations: With the sixth part of our La Danse Macabre series we open our focus to more facets of Darkwave music. For the first time in this series we make an in deep view of the electronic aspects of scene music. From Synth Pop and Coldwave to Dark Electronic. Retro aesthetics meets modern songwriting; catchy melodies and experimental sounds complete this collection. And in the end we make a link to older releases with some nice Post Punk tunes. We hope you’ll enjoy this different view of dark music.

Master Mood TV Remixes ‘Tinder’

Tinder from Remains to be Seen is now updated to include a dance remix of ‘Tinder’ from Master Mood TV.

Master Mood TV (Mason Monigold) is one half of the Dark Electronic Audio Duo and also mixed the track the remix stems from.

He explains, “We unapologetically make pop music but there’s a lot of content to mine within noise and uncomfortable listening experiences; Annie and I tried to explore that in the original ‘Tinder’ mix. In the remix I wanted to approach it from the opposite direction – focussing on the beat and vocals – sugar coat things a little.”

The Bandcamp release of the Master Mood TV remix also includes tweaked mixes of ‘Tinder’ and ‘Angelie’ as well as a downloadable PDF booklet. Tinder is available on all streaming services March 12.

Tinder by Remains to be Seen now on Bandcamp

Tinder, a new noise-pop single from Remains to be Seen, is available for streaming and purchase on Bandcamp.

Remains to be Seen is a Dark Electronic Audio Duo featuring Annie Adams (Evasive Flowers, Milkwave) and Mason Monigold (Master Mood TV, Blood Tide.)

Tinder is a noisy take on an as yet unreleased Evasive Flowers live song of the same name – taken to a dark new place with the the addition of Mason’s electronics and production.

The b-side is Angelie, a dark wave take on an unreleased live song from Annie and Mason’s former band, Domestic Drone.

The two track single can be purchased for $2 or streamed a limited number of times for free. The EP will hit streaming services in early March.
